Teaching
Philosophy
My teaching is built around a simple principle: students should understand the economic substance behind accounting numbers before learning the mechanics used to produce them.
I use intuitive business problems and real-world financial statements to help students understand why accounting rules exist before introducing their technical application.
I also incorporate emerging technologies into the classroom by emphasizing how students should evaluate, verify, and take responsibility for AI-assisted accounting analysis rather than simply using technology to produce answers.
